Skoda Rapid BCM 7h0937090d High Beam Switch does not light up in fixed mode.

Post by atifzafrak »

Hello everyone,

I have a 2015 Skoda Rapid Spaceback. It has the factory-installed PQ25 BCM. (7h0937090d)

I have made the following modifications to my car:

Automatic headlight switch
Rain sensor
Light sensor
Xenon headlights (installed and coded at the service)
Everything is working except for one thing :) When I push the headlight switch backwards, the high beams do not work. I have to hold it manually with my hand.

I don't understand the issue. I connected the cables as shown below.

I shared an old auto scan in the message I wrote above.
Below I am sharing the current auto scan. 1 before cleaning the errors, the other after cleaning the errors.

This is all the information I can remember for now.
Love to Ciclo :) I'm sorry if I've hurt you.

Please take two clear pictures of the ORIGINAL wires reaching the T17 connector. I need to see the colours of the wires and their position in the T17 connector.
Also 1 image of the fuse box under the steering wheel.
At a quick glance, the BCM coding seems correct, and being a factory Start/Stop vehicle, which does not need the wiring for BCM Adaptation, everything should work fine if you did the auto light wiring properly...
Did you install the relays?

Needless to say the way you have connected the wires is inappropriate and unsafe, a couple of couplings/connectors is within everyone's budget.🤷‍♂️

Thank you for letting me know.👍

Given the current circumstances regarding diagnosis and repair and the vehicle being in normal condition, I would have kept your Skoda Rapid for another 250,000 km or 10 more years. These utility vehicles or toys without restrictions and with 'easy' maintenance and repair (low cost) are already becoming scarce.
