My Polo is a 2014 model and the original BCM part number is 6R0 937 087P, but I upgraded to a 6R0 937 087AG made in India.

Hi Zaus2558.
Thanks for the info. If you've read the first post, you'll have realized that you need to upgrade to a BCM Max. Your current BCM (6R0 937 087AG) cannot handle automatic headlights, 'etc'. Would you be willing to install a BCM Max?

Upgrading to a BCM Max requires modifying the original wiring by installing new wiring harnesses (WL0, WL1, WL2, WL3) in the BCM area, along with other connections as detailed in the guides in the first post. Do you think you have the tools and skills to install the wiring looms I’d send you for the BCM Max Adaptation?
The following link is a guide that serves as an example; Please take your time and take a look at it to get an idea of what's involved.
 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... GIapz07XXQ
It's for RHD, but it's the closest thing to what you'll have to do on your LHD. I will provide you with the appropriate guide when I have more data from your 6R -VCDS autoscan, etc.

In short, in addition to what is indicated for Automatic lights wiring, you need to upgrade to a BCM Max as indicated in the first post.

One last question before I send you a private message with my email. Do you have VCDS?

Hello ciclo, i know that you don't make these wiring anymore but, i have a 2011 Polo 6R and i would like to retrofit Auto lights. The car came equipped with 087H BCM and i know it needs to be upgraded to BCM MAX 090, which i already have. In the past, i retrofitted auto lights, RLS, Auto-dimming mirror and a lot of other things in a 2014 High Up! following the schemes that you created and the numerous guides and advices you gave to users like H2Daewoo and Dankid, which still works like a charm. For that, i really thank you for the schemes you uploaded. Now i would like to repeat the same thing in my "new" to me Polo. The car now has halogen H7 headlights, but i would like to fit Bi-Xenon, AFS, headlight washer in an OEM way of course. What i don't understand is if i install the auto lights wiring now, having halogen, when retrofitting the xenons do i have to modify the auto lights wiring or just add the wires for the shutters, SCLs, DRL in the BCM and code it? Thanks in advice

P.S. I really love how your polo became! For a lot of retrofits i did on the up, i took inspiration from yours.

Hello anto08445.

Once the BCM Max has been correctly installed, adapted, and coded, along with the wiring for automatic lights, 'All lights' and 'All their functions' will operate properly, regardless of the type of headlights you have installed.

You simply need to apply the appropriate coding adjustments for the new headlights and their corresponding wiring.
Whether for H7, Bi-xenon/Bi-LED💎, or 6C LED headlights (including SCLs, DRLs, reverse/backup light, etc.).

There is no need to modify the automatic lights wiring at all.

I am currently producing these wiring harnesses/looms again, both the wiring for automatic lights and the wiring looms required for the BCM Max adaptation (WL0, WL1, WL2, WL3).
Full technical support (100% success rate, 0 faults).

Sorry ciclo but when you said Bi-LED, you mean to remove the ballast and the HID mounting directly the D3S LED? But you still need to connect the pins to the BCM for the shutter and the SCLs right? I mean, doing so won’t generate errors?

Osram: viewtopic.php?p=609362#p609362

Carlitek: viewtopic.php?p=609327#p609327

-No coding or modifications to the original wiring are required for the 6R factory bi-xenon headlights. It's a plug-and-play setup.
-No new ballasts are needed; everything works perfectly with the original ones. The power ratings advertised are just marketing in order to highlight that they are better than...
-They improve the operating temperature inside the headlight housing.
-The operation of the cooling fans is almost imperceptible (Engine OFF). You have to intentionally pay attention to hear them (exterior). This is a great improvement over other older and much more expensive models from high-end brands.
-They provide significantly better illumination than the original D3S bi-xenon bulbs .
-They offer much better light output than the factory 6C LED headlights (which have poor/horrible reflectors -without projectors/lenses- and suffer from internal temperature issues).
-Carlitek D3S cast a 'slightly' whiter color than the Osram, it is a minimal difference.
-Osram D3S offers better build quality—particularly regarding the connector—but this is not a deal-breaker... (is good in both).

Both D3S Led lamps function exactly as they should. Massive improvement.💎

ok, i see. Since i don't have the bi-xenons or the auto lights, how much will be the wiring harness? And would it be possible to include in the harness/loom also the connections for the future bi-xenon/bi-LED? At the moment i can't send you an autoscan and photos of the fusebox, relay carrier, T17 light switch connector, dimmer, etc. because the car is not with me. I expect to get it back in two weeks...

Let me know, thanks

No worries, you will send me both the autoscan and the necessary images by email when you have the car.
This info is absolutely essential for determining the cost of the wiring looms required for the/your BCM Max adaptation (WL0, WL1, etc.) on your specific 6R.

I do not stock or sell wiring looms that runs from the BCM to the various lights on the vehicle; I only handle wiring in the BCM area (the one that makes everything else possible).
Such modifications (Bixenon, DRLs, Fog lights, etc.) depend on the specific requirements of each user and their particular 6R model. You can find these products/items through Kufatec or other online retailers. Please contact me by email before purchasing these items so that I can provide you with some advice in this regard.
No worries, I will also provide free technical support ('0 faults') via email for the installation and coding of any components you purchase elsewhere.

By email we make the final accounts of the total cost (ALW + BCM Adaptation) so that you can decide with total freedom what you want to do without any type of commitment.

Regarding the cost of the wiring for automatic lights (ALW), please refer to the information provided in the first post.

I will send you my email shortly by PM, please check your inbox.

unfortunately, i did not receive your pm. Maybe because i did not write a lot of messsagges. For the wiring, it's ok. So after installing auto lights, if i understood correctly, i won't have anymore the low beams and parking lights always on (deactivable via coding), which then means i don't have Daytime Running Lights, therefore i have to install DRLs in the foglights, right?
Thanks

That's correct.👍
However, if you install original Bi-Xenon headlights -which include nice DRLs and wonderful SCLs - or 6C LED headlights -which include only DRLs-, you do not need to install DRLs within the fog light housings.

DRLs located in the fog light housings are only necessary/mandatory if you continue using H7 or H4 headlights along with the new BCM Max. In this case, new wiring must be added (BCM Max to-> Fog light housings 1 or 3).
In non-bluemotion models (7L3 + BCM High from factory) the existing wiring cannot be used in case the DRLs operate through the SB56 fuse (this is not your case according to what you say).

The management of the DRLs now depends on how your new "BCM Max" is configured/coded/adapted and which functions are enabled.

Note: It is possible to deactivate the DRL function during the transition from BCM models and/or from one headlight type to another to avoid unnecessary costs or installations.

ok, that's perfect. I never understood why Volkswagen decided to do DRLs configuration like this when they had the possibility to install the DRLs already in the foglights, for every version having halogen, or even better using the same bulb for parking lights and DRL like they did on the up, which in non-Bluemotion or pre-facelift, it had the T17 light switch connector, so same operating principle. The important thing is that, when passing from the T17 to the T10 i won't have anymore this stupid configuration.

For the headlights, at the moment i will stick with the halogen one so i was thinking to install the drl in the foglights just temporarily until i get the Bi-Xenon/Bi-led. I can always reuse the bulb in the foglights maybe converting them in F-tron lights? :D

By the way, i received your PM. I will contact you again by mail when i have the car.

thanks as always Ciclo

The hidden secret is that VW always conducts preliminary experiments on earlier models; in this instance, they devised as many as five different ways 🖐 to implement a DRL system (depending on the 6R trim level).

The irony is that if they had installed the BCM Max from the factory on all trim levels of the 6R, they would have saved a lot of money in manufacturing costs (copper for the wires).🤷‍♂️

One option during the transition from one set of DRLs to another is to activate "Scandinavian lights" in the BCM, which will help avoid police fines.
Scandinavian lights function just like DRLs, but they utilize the front and "rear" position/parking/side lights.

F-tron lights are excellent for any type of cave without lighting or the duration of illumination is indeterminate or unknown.
Low consumption, guide lights. 👌 🤭

Yes, i thought of that option. Actually i can also use foglights, parking lights, low beams as options for DRL. You mean like this or the option Parking lights on when Terminal 15 on? ( i don’t remember byte and bit). This will also enable license plate lights and interior lights if I remember correctly? I used this temporary solution in the up when I did not connect the DRL terminals in T73 BCM connectors during the transition from T17 to T10
