A few polo's today...

Post by Petrified »

Drove to essex and back from South Wales.

Saw a Red Mk3 Fox outside KFC in Braintree.

A silver Gti going full pelt past me on the M25 then pulled over in front of me, then took off again.

Saw a Blue (?) derby which looked abandonded on the M11.

And a Black 9n followed me all the way back on the M4.

And a few mk2 golfs slowed down to have a look :D I love the G40.

Anybody off here?? It was a red J reg G40.

Down side to the trip, car got filthy after washing it yesterday (what did I expect)
A stone made a hole the size of a 5p coin in the headlight  hopefully get a replacement tomorrow.
Almost going sideways coming off the m4 was fun (ice!) especially when you've got a complete stranger in the back
Only have a tape player not ideal for long journeys (but it's the original one that came with the car!) The only tape I have date back to the early 90's, but then so does the car so it was happy.

Good things. Did 600 miles on a tank and a quarter of the good stuff.
Car never comlpained once ,even when stuck in traffic. I was expecting it to overheat.
Very comfy ride compared to the CTR.

Agh, need sleep.

James.

What side headlamp mate?

I have a lamp in my garage, can't remember which side though.
