Wheel spacers

Wheel spacers! Can these be put on the front and if so how will this affect the wheel? Also I want to stay slammed!

you can put them on the front... i've had 5mm spacers on for sometime andno need to change the standard nuts as there is still enough turns to secure the wheels...

if you go any more than say 5mm i would recommend going to stud conversion rather than extended nuts as you are putting more stress on them by extending the track distance... i also had these on until recently with 15mm rear spacers...

Quick question - does adding spacers increase handling (wider wheelbase) or is it simply to make the wheels look more prominent?

i wanted to know because im looking at new brakes and i need 60mm from the face of the disk to the spokes! currently i only have about 40! don't look good.

I had 20mm's on each side of the rear and:

1. It made the car look amazing

2. The increase in rear track, coupled with the coilovers, made conering at speed a hoot!

Josh - you just did the rears and not all round?

Sort of reminds me of a *itroen Visa GTi I had for a while - that had a wider track on the front than the rear and looked very odd!

i had the larger 15mm spacers on the rear same as josh because, like the ibiza on the same chassis the rear track is narrower than the front and thats why it sometimes induces the back end to get a bit light and also understeer....

its sorts the problem nicely and makes the wheels fill the arches better!

you could have upto 30mm spacers all round i guess, jus like putting hub pcd adaptors on to fit porsche wheels!?

I agree, when Josh had wheel spacers on his rear hubs it did look the mutts nuts, however I've heard having spacers on the front, especially if over 5mm this will affect the handling of the car...dunno if this is true or not? Maybe the difference will be little noticed?
