bonnet problem

Post by HK 6N2 »

Hello all Polo guys,
I just got a used 2002 Polo GTI,
I found that it's not easy to close the bonnet.........I have to use strong
force( maltreat ) in order to make the bonnet fully close.
Is it normal??

Do you push it down, or let it drop from chest height ?

If you hold it up, just enough so it doesnt' stay up, it should then drop shut and do no damage

yeah, do as DMWRIGHT says, (although it sounds horrible when you do it!)

I think the handbook says you shouldn't push it shut.

yes, the bonnet should "slam" itself down, doesnt do any damage, but doesnt sound too good :)
