Oil coolers...

Post by gtjoe »

Right, i'm thinkin of buyin an oil cooler off me m8, with a polo adapter (off of his mk2 golf race car), has ne one else on here fitted them to their gt??? I know how to fit it, it's jst sometimes, on some cars the engines are designed 2 run with hot oil if ya know wot i mean, so i was worried if this was the case on the gt?

Oil coolers are a good idea on a GT. Just make sure the adapter plate is thermostatic one (opens and closes at the right temp) and you will be fine. If it's off a race car its not likely to be a thermo plate, but they are cheap enough to buy. What size / rows does it have ?

I'd buy a new one for that money.

if you dont want to buy a new thermo plate you can get in-line oil stats for about 30 notes.
