Hi all
Having test driven and had a good look round I have done the deal and should be picking my GTi up today.
However, one thing I have been constantly asking the VW place is whether the car has had the recall work done on the pedal box.
Got a call this morning to say that it hasn't ! I have booked it in to have the work done next week. Question is do I still pick it up today (which VW are wanting me to do) or do I wait until the work has been done.
At the moment I have said I will pick up today thinking that I have a few days to highlight any other issues that may become apparant and then get them rectified when it goes in next week.
I can call them back though and say I want the work doing first.
Any advice greatly received
Cheers

I'd pick it up today, and as you say, spend some time with the car and note anything else that needs attention, before taking it back for the recall work to be done.
My GTi was perfectly fine before the recall, and has been OK since, apart from a new clutch cable (under warranty!)...
Nice choice for a new motor
