MeTsU's 9N3 TDi - Sooty from South Africa

Re: MeTsU's 9N3 TDi - Sooty from South Africa
Hey guys,
I could really use some advice here as I feel like a chameleon on a smartie box - I've changed my mind with regards to colour for my OZ's - 17x8 ET35. I aquired them at the beginning of July and progress has been slow to be honest - I now need to refurb them. I was messed around by the chaps that were going to do me a favour by machining the centre bore to the correct 57.1mm. Long story short, I landed up taking them to an old timer who I've now become friends with - a lot of his Churchill machinery is from WWII onwards - lovely old workshop. He did an absolutely amazing job and it allowed me to do a test fit - these things are big. I've done a little digging and it looks like 8J ET30 starts to become an issue, so I should be ever so slightly safer with mine being ET35.
Now for me, an OZ wheel should be white. I had decided to go a different route, seeing my car is a little murdered, but I might be purchasing a set of brand new, in the box BBS Montreal II's for approx. 200GBP. My thoughts if I do buy the Montreal II's are:
* OZ's stay white (powder coated).
* Current BBS RS825 split's go Gunmetal possibly.
* BBS Montreal II's stay original silver.
Excuse the bad photoshop - I'm not really that good at it.

Comments most welcome, ciao, Matteo.

Reckon I should stick with white? And the plan above, or mix things up a little?

I was at Aldo Scribante two weekends ago to watch some of the Regional Racing (a large number of the CT guys came down to race). I met up with Redrum there and we were discussing how Sooty isn't really that low - and although this is true, the "limiting" factor is actually the belly pan being rather low. He decided to take a look and saw this for himself, LOL.

Not much in terms of an update...
I decided to drop Sooty further after the outing to the track where the "Aspen" shot was taken.
The front is down another 5mm, which is very little, I know...but belly pan clearance is already an issue. The rear probably dropped around 15mm, not sure to be honest, but I can't go lower. Here's a shot I snapped, excuse the dirty car (water restrictions FTL
), I'll look for more tonight.
