It cost me £151.20 last year from Venom Motorsport and has never been used.
Still in all its original packaging so I am looking for £125.00

Could very well be interested in ALL of them.. But unfortunately can't afford all of them

Are they all capable for a 6n2 non-gti fit?

Yeah mate i'll get you some pics when they have been finished.
I need to get the centre's resprayed but I can't decided whether to keep them the standard colour or go for gloss black centres with polished chrome outer rims.

I think they will get a lot more interest if they were black

The Manifold is suited to the 16V 100BHP and GTI Polo's (possibly 75bhp 16v Polo too) so it wont be suitable for all models.

The Strutbrace and Short Shifter will fit all MK5 Polo's so there will be no issue's with them.

I will try and find out if the Manifold will fit the 1.4 16V 75BHP Polo's.

Cheers for the interest mate

Right I do have some news regarding the Polo.
After searching for an S3 for the last 2 to 3 weeks its become clear to me that my S3 requirements are simply out of my price range, by requirements I mean Mileage, Extra's, Colour, Age & Condition.

A top spec 02-03 plate S3 are around £8.5-10K which is simply out of my price range, I dont want to settle for a high mileage average example so I have decided to stick with the Polo :)
The S3 still remains an option but I think I will be considering that in a couple of years time.

Having spent a lot of time and money on the Polo and getting it to a satisfactory standard I think it would be a little silly to sell it now, I think the only real reason I was lured to the S3 is the power and the fact that they are 4 wheel drive. No doubt they are a better car than the Polo as you would expect but I love the way the Polo looks and sounds, they look alot newer than their actual age and it always gets looks everytime I drive it.

The insurance on an S3 is also pretty pricey seeing as its group 18 insurance and when you take into account the tax, servicing costs and modifications it really would be too much for me to afford on my income. Lovely cars and I probably will go for one in the future but the top examples are beyond my spending powers.

Anyway enough about S3's I want to focus more on the Polo now starting with a few niggling issues that need some attention.
Passenger side CV joint needs a change, I need some new Interior mats, Interior door handles (peeling) and I also need to get myself a new motor & regulator for the drivers side window. I have got myself a VAGCOM lead and my mate has given me a copy of the software so I can now check for any errors myself which is handy.

Another item that has caught my eye is the mudflaps that Alex and Bradley have fitted to their GTI's, I like the look of them and might have to invest in a set (front)

Can anybody tell me if I am best getting the CV joint and boot from Volkswagen or would it be more cost effective getting them from GSF or Euro Parts etc?

Expect a few updates in the Following weeks because the GTI is going nowhere!

Do not get cv joints or boots from GSf or euro as the quality of them is absolutely shocking. Vw are the only place to get parts like that from even if the price is a little higher. If you need one, I can always get it at trade for you then post it up...should be a damn sight cheaper!

Alex that sounds like a plan to me :) If you can get me a price and delivery for the parts I will paypal you the money in advance (as a gift). I would much rather have OEM parts really 8)

Cheers

Good to hear you're keeping it matey. We've all got plenty of time to move on to bigger and better things but none of us can deny how cool these little cars are.

Totally agree mate :) I just felt like I was selling the Polo for the sake of power when in all honesty I dont need anything near 225bhp for my daily comute to work. It would be nice if the Polo was a little quicker but i'll work on that haha. Too many factors priced me out of a move for the S3 and that wasnt even taking into account the fuel costs, insurance, tax, maintenance, modifications etc.

Maybe in a few years time when they come down in value
