Oh dear. Lupo's suffer the same issue with the spoiler bubbling, caused by the use of the porus fibre material they are made of. Took mine off, stripped the paint and left it to dry in doors for a month then had it painted inside and out(As much as possible) has been fine since. Water gets in throught the brake light appature.

I didnt even realise until the other day. I tend to ignore prices as its not worth thinking about.
but i put £35 in and got like 21 ltrs out of it! i attually said 'ouch' out loud when i saw it

Lol!
whilst some couples we know are planning baby bedrooms
my boyfriend and I talk about what our garage is gonna be like for our cars lol
(electric doors, heaters, lighting, inside hose (for cleaning in winter), a wall full of car cleaning products)

I feel sorry for my mates who own a R8 v8, F430 and my other mate with a corsa (dam chav)!!!
Tis true. I used to not mind to much. The more fuel we burn the less we have, the more expensive itll be. does make sence.
but I saw recently on the news the breakdown of what we attually pay for. and how much more we pay then other places.
and it made me feel all bitter and twisted inside.

still I suppose if it bothered me that much id got back to my Perouda Kelisa...that thing is so small and light it litterally just runs on the push of the wind

my brake light seems to look really dull.
i dunno if its the lens part or the attual light part.
i kinnda hope if just needs a good cleaning
Im to much of a wimp to take it apart incase i cant get it back together

It's been a while since I've posted any updates.
If I'm honest the GTI has been a bit pushed out by another GTI.

Image

The boyfriend Brought this and ended up selling the polo g40.
I've already lost count of the amounts of times we've washed it. And the many miles we've already covered it in.
Really fantastic motor!

But back to the polo...

Weeks back I brought GTI a few presents. One the took ages to arrive was my rear n/s interior grab handle and tweeter.
This finially arrived mid Feb time and got it fitted.

The old one had taken a beating during the sound instal.

Number Plates

My front number plate was pealing off slightly at the edges. So thought I'd have something different for a while.
Got some plain plates from VW.
Didn't cost me anything and its nice for a change.

23.04.11 - 24.03.11- Cleaning

Booked two days off work last week. The plan was to stay in bed the whole of the two days, but the weather was perfect for car cleaning, sunny and dry but not so hot that everything bakes onto the car. So ended up spend both days cleaning.

Just prep for the detail I wanna so in a few months

Image

Exterior-
Snow foamed
Washed using two bucket method and Supernatural Shampoo.

Clayed with Zaino Clay Bar and DoDo Juice Born Slippy.

Cleanes the Door Shuts, these were still pretty clean from last time I did them. Focused on getting all the grease and dirt out of any nooks and crannies. Then polished and waxed. (as well as the whole car)

Clean all window rubbers and the material strip at the top of the door sills.

Blackened the grills using 'Top Kote'. Did half and half of the whole front, but the lighting didn't agree with my iPhone camera. So only the following close up photo attually showed the difference.

Image

Used Gummi on the door and window rubbers.

Polished up the Door lock barrels and the exhaust with wire wool and Megs Metal Polish.

Cleaned the wheels with Bilberry and sealed them with Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

Interior -
Took seats and car mats out and hoovered.
Cleaned all fabrics (including roof liner and seatbelts) with Chemical Guys Fabric Clean.
Then re-hoovered.
Cleaned all plastics with Poor Boys Natural Look.
Dusted the vents and little nooks with Meg Swabs
Cleaned all windows inside and out with Stoners Invisible Glass.

And topped it all off with a new Cherry Airfreshners from VW ;)

24.03.11 - Cambelt (112,127miles)

Image

Got my cambelt done :)
Was last done 1.3.07 at 68,134.
So my 4 years was up.
Jack got a mate from work to do it for me. Tom, is a Tech at VW.
Really Brilliant bloke.
(tho he did get a dusty footprint on my door rubber and a patch of dust on my seat tsk tsk)

Image

Feels good to have it all done :)

Next,
The car deserves a big service. Gonna buy the parts on Friday (pay day) but probably wont get it done until next weekend, depending on if we get the Golf remapped this weekend.
And got a few more ideas for the Polo, stolen from the Ed30 and our mates new S3.

Thank you :D feels good to get lots of little bits done. I love having a clean car again.
I just so badly need to get my bumpers resprayed. I was talking to a chap from work who couldn't see anything wrong with them until I attually pointed at the flaws. So I guess I'm making things worse in my head. I just want him looking perfect.

He's very much in love with the Edition. It had ever extra he wanted and more!
Really a flawless car.
And DSG is soo much fun!

the poorboys stuff really is brilliant. So so easy to use, and does an amazing job :D

As Alex said I got them thru the boyfriend lol (he's not leaving that job until I've got everything for the gti I could possibly need! Lol) , but The plates dont cost much, i think less then it costs for a set from frauds!
