Great meet, thanks to everyone that turned up!! Really enjoyed my self! Nice to meet ppl from the forum :) .

However on the way home wasn't so good (probably being one of the closest to the venue i really didn't have far to go) a BMW 7 series (not new) decided to slam on his breaks infront of me, no indication causing me to break, very quick blip on the horn and boy did he take it badly. Tried to push me off the road. Neither me or my mate could make out what he was saying with all the F's, ended up me running red lights not to get a pounding

I was wondering if you had a bigger high res pic of cyhliu's GTi - I want a closer look at those 16" BBSs, they look real nice 8)

Feel free to e-mail it to me if you have one

Cheers

Thanks Si_GTI, I didn't think many people would notice but they seemed to have picked up on them somehow...I'm surprised no one else has done it but then I guess the rims are hard to come by.

Sorry I don't have any close up photos of my rims hopefully someone will be able to sort you out with some.

Pm your email address and I'll mail it to you

I spotted the 16's straight away but 195/40 16 on the tyres gave it away

Pics are looking good!
I have to apologise for my early retirement but the family lunch had to be done.
It was good to see so many polo's in one place :)
I spoke to a few people about the Rolling Road day next Sunday (6 Feb) in Chelmsford, Essex. If anyone is up for it I will be posting all the details in the Meetings & Events section as soon as I have them.

I have to say the most memorable event was seeing someone (i wont mention any names) looking quite ill after beasting out on chips and cheese oh and some more chips  you still alive by the way mate???

For any of those interested I thought id post the address and number of B-Trim where my leathers were done.... enjoy

Surprising, isn't it, that an increase of only 1" in the alloys creates such a difference to the car's appearance 8) IMO they look better than the standard 15"s!

As for sourcing a good set of complete 16" RX2s, well if I remember your post when you got them, they were only fitted to the Golf Cabriolet for a short time? Very scarce, and most sets are probably still attached to the Golfs they were sold with I guess..

Good turn out :)

Chris, those rims were really noticable, the group I was standing with as you drove in all mentioned the wheels 8)

Hey thanks for all the nice comments about my rims, was thinking about whether to have them refurbished but since so many have made nice comments I think I should go ahead. Anyway, enough of my rims, here are the photos I took...enjoy!

I tried to merge the following photos together but because there are several similar Polos it was merging two cars together making it look like the turnout was half it really was!
