Quick question, what do people thing of the VW fixed service plans etc, is it good value? anyone took it out? I will only be doing around 10k per year.
Cheers

Re: New GTI
Nice, you ordered similar time to me so hopefully be same kinda time. Is that a confirmed or provisional build week?j0rd4n500 wrote:Just been told by my dealer, build week 41so should be here for end of october, which is great because its just after I get back from thailand. Cant wait to get my hands on one.
Re: New GTI

He said cars moved forward build week 41, end of october for delivery. currently got a 14plate polo cant wait to just trade it in hahaa.duffman wrote: Nice, you ordered similar time to me so hopefully be same kinda time. Re: New GTI
I've had my Polo GTI on order since april and got fed up waiting with VW putting the build of my car back and back and eventually I gave up waiting, and i've bought another Golf (in R32 guise) instead so am looking to cancel my order.
However, my car now has a build week confirmed NEXT WEEK.
I haven't officially cancelled yet, so i'm offering my car to anyone who is looking for one e.g. I put you in touch with my dealer and you can take over my order which may help you get your car quicker than if you've just ordered.
I have spec'd the following car:
3 DOOR
DSG Gearbox
Reflex Silver
Sat Nav
Carbon Mirrors (dealer fit, so can be taken off)
DCC Sport Pack
Winter Pack
Parking Sensors, Cruise and Reverse Camera Pack
If anyone is interested let me know, otherwise will just go into VW/dealer stock.

Re: New GTI
Ordered my GTI on Monday and the dealer has given me a build week of 46 which is mid-November. Is he probably about right? He said it would probably be delivered mid-December based on that build week.
Edit - options for anyone interested:
Manual gearbox
Metallic/pearl black
Alcantara seats (not keen on the tartan!)
Convenience pack
Centre arm rest

Re: New GTI
I've been told week 40 , and should have it for end off October so sounds about right [emoji106]
Re: New GTI
They can tell you what they like. I would say take it all with a pinch of salt until you have a confirmed build week.
I was told I'd be in my car by end of June at the latest. Its now September and it has only just been built.

Re: New GTI
Just picked mine up from the dealers this afternoon (Cookes of Fakenham). Drive home was a real pleasure. This car is a pocket rocket! Very responsive low down in the revs. Those of you waiting will not be disappointed. Big thumbs up for the dealers. I got a good deal, didn't have to wait that long from order to delivery and the service has been excellent. One final comment on the Fiesta ST. It is a great car to drive and you do get a bit more steering 'feel' but the Polo is one notch above in terms of quality and there is not a gulf in performance and handling that you always see claimed in the motoring press. Also it doesn't rattle your fillings at low speed especially round the poor quality roads we have around here. No need for the sport button! Even my wife likes this one! All in all a great purchase.

Re: New GTI
Hey guys, did you get any free stuff with your car, like some of the GTI branded apparel or accessories? When I was talking with my dealer he promised me something once the car will be delivered, I just wanna know if this will be a standard offering or something extra just for me
