I think the red works fine on the grille because it covers the black edge of the grille.

GTI strips are supposed to be red, i'm not a fan of green, blue or yellow strips.
Alex's works well with the chrome strip because its bling bling 8)

Agree with Ben. It does not stand out a lot but i like it. Not really a fan of other colours on there. I just saw a MK5 Golf GTI in red which had it and thought it looked quite good. However they have the black under the grill so makes it stand out a bit more. Will leave it on for the minute and see if it grows on me.

Although Alex your one does make the car unique to the rest :)

Looks good buddy,i can see that it dosen't quite have the effect it does on black and silver models but thats understandable.Strangly though it seems like it fills a gap in or something does look good  .

Indeed any spacers above 15mm should be supplied with wheel bolts that bolt to the hub, then you use the old existing wheel bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer. The FK ones i have are of a decent quality and have a spigot to sit the wheel on just like a 15mm extension of the hub.

Cheaper spacers that require just long wheel bols i wouldn't bother with to be honest it'll put far too much load on the hub threads.

Right quick little update:

Since putting these coilovers on, my front camber is way to extreme and the inside of my tires are almost shot! So been looking at the adjustment for the front. I only had a quick look but from what i can see there are 3 bolts on the bottom ball joint which hold some kind of slider?? So i guess if this is the case just slacken them off and slide the whole lot in.

Been looking on the 'Autodata" at work and this shows a poor diagram of this. Havnet actually had time to adjust it yet and if i get stuck ill post it up and see what you lot make of it. Anyway i also have all the measurements it should be at, and it says for the front 0.5 degrees +- 0.2 degrees negative camber. I do like the look of a bit more negative camber but i don't want to keep scrubbing tires out for the sake of it. Also i guess adjusting the camber will also put the tracking out so will have to do that again as well.

Also another annoying thing is that my NEW!!!!! CV boot has a small split in it. Must have put i nik in it with the old strut  So will have to do that again as well!

Yes adjusting the camber will put the tracking out - just like raising or lowering the ride height will - I don't run a lot of camber on my track car just enough to increase the front end grip in corners - too much camber has a negative effect of decreasing grip

If you like camber for "look" then you'll need to keep buying tyres

Finally got to give the dam thing a wash. Got my new aerial FINALLY, 2 MONTHS of waiting has paid off. Also got some LED number plate lights and some new VW centre caps for the RXII's. Saving them for when they get re conditioned though :)

Nice aerial ;-) What do you think of the reception?

Red ones look so nice... seriously looks very, very nice. Wanna swap? :P

Thanks Nigel. I do love black ones but i don't think i could swap

The reception is excellent. A million times better than the Sharan one and i think it is even a bit better than the standard fishing rod. Looks good as well :)

Looking very Nice Matt :D
Your Paint work looks immaculate! I'm well jealous because mine is showing its age now

Liking the aerial too, I went for the small stubby aerial which looks pretty cool but the reception is pretty terrible.

Keep the updates coming mate :P

Thanks Ben, yeah i got a bit annoyed with the small one. Looked good but reception was rubbish. A lot happier with this one. Think the paintwork looks better in the pictures than in person. There are a few areas that could do with some attention but that will come in good time :)

My poor RXII's have really suffered this winter so thinking of getting some steelies for next winter. They defiantly need referbing now. One section of an arm has almost been completley de lacquered

Im also afraid to admit that i have just gone a bought some 4 point harnesses for the recaro's. Was getting frustrated that the standard seat belts keep chafing into the nice new recaro's so just bought some OMP red ones.

Take it off and put it in the car when you park anywhere - they go walkies very quickly - don't ask me how I know
