Hi Si
I have got you down for one of these.
It was just to confirm that you still wanted it.
So a quick call or send a message on the forum would be fine.
Thank you

Ah OK, panic over :)

I've tried the phone a couple of times over the last 30 minutes or so but its busy, so I'll answer here instead - the answer is a definite YES :D I am still interested!

Do you know if the kit fits the gearbox for all '99-'01 Polos or is it just the GTi?

Thanks!

Well I did want it fitted, but I've just spoken to my insurers, who tell me that until I am 25, making any modifications to the car will result in invalidating my insurance. I'm 24 in May... so it looks like I'll be asking for delivery, then coming up to JBS towards the latter end of the year (September onwards, when I can swap insurers) to ask you guys to fit it for me!

In the short-term then, I do still want to buy a kit, have it delivered to me, and then keep hold of it until I can fit it without worrying about losing my insurance! I'll phone tomorrow lunchtime and confirm my address/credit card details :)

Thanks

Not that I'm advocating such behaviour, but how would they know if you didn't tell them?
how many small german sportscars do you think they've driven?

Yeh its not like we're bolting on a HUGE turbo or anything, Its going to be hidden away and i cant see insurance companys looking at every single part to check its got a vw part number on it.

Idea... take B&M shortshifter and engrave VW shifter part number into it.

Or.... act dumb and say your shifter broke and the place you took it to, to be repaired had this one (B&M) in stock so you got it fitted, cos there was an 8 week wait on the VW part, (and did'nt realise it was any differnt)

I know, but you know what insurance companies are like, anything that they can make some moolah on they will...they probably will insure me...but at a cost!

Hmm...not so sure what I'm going to do...

Hi ALL
These have now been ordered.
I will be giving you a call in the next couple of days.

So get your flexible friends ready.
As soon as the mods are done they will be posted out to you.
They will go by DHL

I will then get in touch with you all to give you the packnote number so you can track your parcel.

Thank you all for your help :D

Would be nice to know if you could as there are other things i would liek to get from you in the future.

If not, not to worry this time.

Give me a call and away we go. You have my card details i think already, but if its a problem give me a call though im in the UK until Monday, so you wont be able to get hold of me at work until then
