Can anyone have a look at the seat levers and see if the cut outs are there like they are on the golf, we make the metal parts for the seat inserts available from a guy on eBay at work and he was kind enough to send me a pair, my GTI is being built next week so I've no idea if they'll fit, here's a picture, I'm assuming VW still use the same leaver.

Evening Guys! First post so excuse me if any mistakes arise! Been reading all the pages and so glad Andy's Polo is nearing the dealership, you've had a raw deal. I currently have a Polo GTI and has been great fun over the last 3 years but after reading reviews and everyone on here praising, I ordered my New GTI on August Bank Holiday and had a confirmed build week last week - 05/10/2015 (Week 41). Looks like there will be a load of GTI's arriving soon!

There are no cut outs in the seat lever on a Polo.

They are like this:

Does anyone know a blue 6C GTI with 3SDM 0,06 wheels that were at Edition 38 last weekend?

For those of you still keeping track of their orders etc- that will be precisley 5 months, order to delivery. And just shy of a month from confirmed build date to delivery (inclusive of car sitting in port for 3 days both sides, so if you are lucky that will be less).
Think I'm unlucky then.

Mine was born 12 days ago but still sat in the port in Spain according to my dealer. They say a ship sails tomorrow but can't confirm mine will be on it :(

Just seen the Ibiza Cupra has been facelifted with the same 1.8 engine in the Polo and with a manual gearbox as well, some pics here...

Still think I made the right decision with the Polo, prefer the exterior styling on the Polo and even though the interior is very similar in a lot of ways the Polo just looks a bit smarter and refined for me.

Andy I can see delivery is getting closer. From my experience you are about three weeks away so not long to go. Took mine for a long run today including some dual carriageway. You do get some serious acceleration in the mid range and I didn't go above 4000rpm as I'm still running it in. Wonder if anyone had red lined it and what it's like above 4000. I would be interested to know what the ride is like with those who have the sport button when in off mode. Mine feels like it's in sport all the time (I don't have the sport option) although not really bouncy as I've read when sport is selected.

i wouldn't worry about running it in tbh. just make sure the oil is warm 80+ degrees

i've been caught out by the red line many a times because of the stupid flat torque curve it just keeps pulling then just stops as it hits the limiter

Good point, I join Norfolk Boy on his request.

How "comfort" is the non-sport mode for the people who DID order the sport option?

Agreed. Looks a bit too much like a Corsa VXR for me. Ibiza interior is ghastly compared to Polo imo

My GTI finally arrived this morning. I think I ordered at the start of May. It was actually at the dealers 3 weeks ago but I couldn't have it because my previous lease hadn't finished yet.

I'll upload some pictures tomorrow.
