UPDATE:

Ok its confirmed, I am not getting it smoothed now - just a full respray.

I have come to the conclusion that it will lose the OEM character that it currently has if I did choose to get it smoothed, and I really want to keep it as, well, 'OEM +' as possible just to make it look great as it would have originally with a few extra mods.

Its a tough call, but itll save me almost £400 and will keep the look fresh, classic, and original :)

UPDATE:

Went in to APD today for the work. Its getting the following:

Rear Discs and Pads
Front Discs (280mm)
G60 Front Carriers
Gearbox Oil Change
Clutch
Clutch Cable
Toyo Proxes 195/40/16 T1-Rs

And I think thats about it :)

In other news, caraudiosecurity failed to tell me that after ordering my speakers, those are actually discontinued. Instead, I have been upgraded to the replacement speakers (which are actually better :))

TS-E170Ci - Component Front Speakers

TS-E1702iS - Coaxial Rear Speakers

They read very well, and feature a new Pioneer technology called 'Open & Smooth' which
Gives you smooth, octave-to-octave tonal balance, without favouring one frequency over another, and presenting the mids, highs and lows to perfection.

The shape and volume of the tweeter’s chamber and the damper have been specifically designed for a lower frequency response. As a result, a more accurate midrange frequency sound is produced, ensuring a fluent transition between the midrange and high frequencies.

These speakers deliver true open stage sound imaging and smooth transitions, reproducing the illusion of a live stage performance.

This enhances your music by giving it a feeling of height, width and depth and arranges the sound of the instruments and voices to match their location on an imaginary stage.
I look forward to seeing what they are like tomorrow!

Also, the deposit was put down for the GT1 from its new owner this morning, so its as good as sold!

To be honest mate your prob actually better not having any speakers in the back, a good set up at the front is all you need,

I know this is a guy up here runs a Zafira at comps here in the Uk and always comes first, also hes a judge of audio comps etc and been over to the states where he has judged.

His front Comp alone where like 3K He has speakers in the back but the only reason why is the kids he has. other than that says the dont do alot,

As where do you sit in the car? the front! so best concentate on the front and not the back, same with 6x9's waste of money in my eyes

True to be said Ian - you may sit in the front of the car, but I have learned to appreciate the feeling of surround sound, and I kinda like hearing stuff from behind me. Im one of these people who has to do it all together - balanced sound :)

I wouldnt turn my rears off, so it would mean having to balance factory speakers with AM comps which would be more hassle than its worth.

Fronts are more powerful anyway - rears are just for my satisfaction lol :P
