I do like silver, but sometimes wish I had gone for a black GTI...
Cheers :D
GTI's look good in any colour but I have always loved black cars so had to get a black one.
Only problem with black cars is they show up any slight spec of dirt so you have to keep on top of them with the cleaning side.

Yeah, you'll love that collinite stuff, i'd recommend putting it all over the car and give it a good 20 minutes to "cure" before taking it off, give it a couple coats if possible, looks so nice after!

Im obsessed with elite at the moment, rewired my mums garage on saturday so instead of payment got her to get me £60 worth of stuff off there :) another big clean at the weekend if the weather stays alright!

Yeh Godderz the old caper is right.Definately worth leaving it about 10-15 mins to cure.It can be abit more difficult to remove but it's well worth it for the beading/amount of time it lasts.Definately outlasts the dodo juice i used to use.

Get some pics up of it dude once you've blazed it.

Cheers Lads :D Can't wait to get started! I'm away in Bristol this weekend so unfortunately the big clean will have to be put on hold for a week.

That Klasse Polish is also difficult to remove if you leave it on there for a few mins, its most definately a 1 panel at a time polish.

I'll post some pics once its been waxed 8)

Looks great dude!

Cant beat a black smoothed bumper 8)

You do need to let the collinite cure, like any wax.

Apply it on the whole car, leave it for 10 mins then wipe off.

Once cured it is harder to get it off, but if your struggling mist on some water, it'll help.

Made a few new Purchases to the GTI in the last 2 weeks.

I will post some pics of all the bits once they have been delivered :)

Got some new BBS stainless steel Valve caps to compliment the RXII's as the plastic Iron Cross caps I have on there now look pretty awful. I also just won a set of BBS Carbon centre caps for the wheels too, I have wanted a set for ages but never had the balls to spend £35 on them. I did today though and although feeling like I have been raped i'm sure they will look cool. Got a new Rear VW badge with Black painted insert also ready to go on the car.

If anybody needs a set of virtually new VW's centres (56mm) in mint condition then let me know :)
They are over £25.00 for a new OEM set and I will let these go for £15.00 posted so feel free to PM me.

I got myself a Shark Fin Aerial too and some nice new products from Elite Car Care 8)
Collinite 476S Wax finally turned up today, along with a set of new buckets (inc grit guards), another drying towel and a few microfibre cloths. Just praying the weather is good on the weekend so I can finally get cracking with the Collinite :)

Small Update 19/09/2010

Nothing major to announce, just made a few purchases in last 2 weeks to freshen up the GTI.
I was hoping to give it a major clean this weekend but its been raining pretty much continously so that ended that one.

Here's a few pics of the new goodies 8)

New Sharkfin Aerial (needs to be sprayed before fitment)
Image

New Rear Badge - with black insert
Image

New BBS Centre Caps (56mm) for the RXII's
Image
I think they look a little better than the VW one's, especially on a Black GTI.

BBS Valve Caps

Couple of new stickers

Set on New Bosch/VW Aero Wipers (fitted these 2 weeks ago now and their great!)

New Drying Towel from Elite Car Care

New Bucket Set from Elite (including Grit Guards)
Image

Some more Klasse German Polish from Elite

Some more Xerapol Plastic Polish (This is the stuff I use on the Xenon lenses)

New VAGCOM lead

Got some major plans for next year, the biggest being Schrick cams & custom map.
Still saving at the moment but nearly there now. Other plans for next year include:

- Fitment of Manifold & Full De-cat
- K&N typhoon Induction Kit with Custom intake
- Respray to the Bonnet, Front bumper, splitter & both front wings.
- Roof Vinyl Wrap (custom design)
