Looking clean :-). I still can't decide which colour is my favourite for the gti. Honestly think I would be happy with any of them!

I think VW made a good choice going for the three colours they did.

Personally I love the silver cos I like the little touches of black and red. The silver really makes the red on the badge and (if you have the fabric interior) the red door cards, and black of thr Splitter and gill stand out.

I love black cars in general ;)

And in general I dislike red cars ( since I was little I always thought the only cars that should be red are Ferraris- I dunno why lol)
---but there is a chap who lives just down the road from me, he used to come on here- Tegwin. His red gti is just beautiful, the red is perfect. Deffinatly made me like red GTIs seeing that.

Bits & Bobs

not much gone on with the GTI recently sadly.
I had some money saved but Jack and I went to Newcastle to get the ed30 Remapped. and we ended up spending money on enjoying the day out.
....So saving starts again...

planning on doing a bit of work to the car this weekend if theres time.

Going to have a look at the Wing mirror motor on the passenger side.
I move it loads when parking against curbs to make sure im lined up nicely (its a tiny road so you need to be parked as close as possible)
I know its designed to move- but its really quite loud. so just gonna take a look and make sure its all running ok.
...I wish I could get them to do it automatically lol. Jack always get a little grin on when im sat moving the mirror around, cos his car does it autmatically to where he's set it. ...hmmmm i wouldnt mind some puddle lights on the under side of my wing mirrors either.....

Need to sort my manifold cover out too. took it off during the service and somehow it got all squished in the middle. So its sat on a fence waiting to me hammered out and polished up.

One thing I have been able to afford was an oil bag off ebay for a quid
have put all my little VW freebies in it as they were all sliding around in the glovebox

Also got a few Freebies

Another pen, a Note Pad, and a little badge

was washing the polo today before work and noticed this...

Image

Image

some nice fat dents in my rear arch.

to say im livid is an understatment.
i didnt at first see the littlin', just the big gash....i have a similar tiny one on my front caused by a stone chip, but i only see that once in a blue moon when the light it right....
so i dunno maybe the little one has been there a while, and ive never noticed till now...
But that big one is so unmissable
it may not look it in the photos but its long, and attually quite wide, and where its at its deepest on the arch frame line, you can feel it
I Know its deffinatly new since last weekend when i last washed him.

...more money to spend on unfun things. i know sh** happens and stuff. but i kinnda wish it was something on the car warn out by wear and tear. not something caused by someone elses ignorance

(ps ignore the bad bumper paint.....its on my list of things to sort.... :()

Gutted for you Verity, I know exactly how you feel.
Probably caused by some complete moron opening their door right into your arch, either that or clipping it when parking.
Its horrible when it happens because you get a little paranoid when parking in busy carparks after stuff like that happens.

Are those Yokohoma S Drive tyres or Firestone Firehawkes?
I recognise the tread pattern but can't remember which brand it is :)
