I might be getting Ebc turbo groove disks with greenstuff pads has anyone got any opinions on these disks.

I looked at those disks but was'nt too keen on the gold finish. The green pads look good tho. Does anybody know of any fast road pads that reduce brake dust?

Which pads do you recommend with your conversions?
The choice of pads to go with your conversions is largely down to personal preference. We can give the general pluses and minuses of the main manufacturers we can supply.
EBC Greenstuff/Redstuff
+ Low dust
+ Very little chance of squeal at any speed
+ Good bite from cold
Ferodo DS2500
+ Road and Track pad, good for hard driving
+ Good bite
+ Good heat range
- Can squeal
Mintex 1144/1155
+ Good for hard drivers/track day/racing
+ Fantastic bite
+ Great at any temperature
- Very dusty
- Often squeal
Pagid
+ Good for road and track
+ Good bite
-/+ Expensive but last twice as long

Are the Pagid fast road pads discontinued though? I'm sure I heard that somewhere on here... so for me at least I'd have the EBC greenstuff pads, but I'm not likely to push the car hard for long periods of time tbh, as I don't have track day insurance anyway

I heard the same, that Pagid Fast Road Pads have been discontinuted, there was a thread about this not long ago, however, they have replaced it with something similar (can't remember what they are now called). You still may be able to get hold of some PFRP if you shop around, someone may still have some old stock they may want to get rid of (for cheap! let us know! ha ha ha!).

Pagid pads discontinued? Got mine booked in for this Monday at Awesome GTi to have a set of fronts fitted!?!

how much are you paying to get them fitted? pads are well easy to fit! do it yourself and save yourself some money!

I've fitted the turbo groove discs to the front and then greenstuff pads all round.
Don't worry about the gold on the discs (i did but it wears off after about 100 miles so i think its just a protectic coating whilst there standing)
Stopping wise, i wouldn't say its much better but its definately different (and a bit better). Its more constant with no fade rather than the originals being hard, then fading under braking.
The best bit about the pads is the lack of dust - its really noticeable. Oh and the green looks good behind the red calipers too...strangely enough!

@ dubpolo - to be honest I've got my motor in to have some other repairs and the cost of fitting some pads whilst they do the rest of the work is pretty minimal, I've changed pads before but heard problems can be caused with the ABS.

Post pics if you like but i'm well aware of the fact that G60 288mm discs fit , again as i said before, you need new caliper carriers.
BTW are you sure your space saver spare fits now? Or did you get some tyre weld?
