I've got an ORIGINAL GTi grille with the GTi badge.

Wouldn't mind a swap with a little cash on top...

Interested? 8)

Love the car looking well neat.

Would the Gti bonnets fit the other mk5 polo's too.

as regards to the number plates, The copper who done us last time round said these plates WERE illegal, I was wanting them for our car. He said anything other than standard was illegal, but not sure how much of this is true.

the bonnet would fit all mk 5's mate... as long as they've all got the hydraulic lifters that is...

i've been told as long as the font is legal, and the spacing hasn't been tampered with (debatable with the - on mine i know...) that the plates should be fine.

i've not had any probs in the last 12 months

If I were to get a set of these german show plates, I'd keep the original plates and some sticky pads under the load liner in my boot, so that if I do get hassle of the local plod, I can get the standard plates on ASAP :?

I meant to ask though, is the rear plate yellow or is it white like the front one?

cheers guys, i carbon covered the 'GTi' grille badge last nght too along with the VW grille badge.... subtle but i like it!

i attached the number plate with zip ties through the back of the surround, loads of different holes for mounting on different cars ya see... fits great through the honeycomb too!

no spacers on the back of it at the mo... toying with the idea of the 15mm each side again....

cheers, good job i had my credit card handy then!! lol

it was a bit of a long proces to fit, basically had to cut out the mounting holes for the washer jets and access holes for the electric wiring (if youve got heated washer jets) then feed it all through...

also had to cut the holes for the rubber stops and play with them to get the bonnet sitting level as well as lower the bonnet catch right down so it wasnt sitting high...

about a days work all in to fit it! and you need at least 2 people to do it!

That looks great 8) . Are you going to get the back bumper done and have the side strips off. Im thinking about smoothing bumpers and strips next year maybe.

Oh yes, thats gotta be done (in time) now the front bumper is smooooth 8)

1. Rear bumper
2. Rubbing strips
3. Roof rails
4. Remove side repeaters?
5. Remove wing mirrors and replace with colour-coded base plates for shows and events only!

The last idea came from PVW's cover car, the smooth and low Corrado 8)

I'd like to smooth all of the above myself but... might cost a bit! Coiles first, smoothing second
