Yep, I quite like the saloons. However, I always thought the rear lights let them down. The Mk3 coupe/hatches still look reasonably modern, but the lights on the rear of the saloon look old and tired. Saying this, I can't think of how else they could have improved the rear end. Know what I'm getting at?

would a red saloon not have a blue interior? There arent many colours where youd get the black one...

The rear lights look good half tinted, Paul Borthwick has done this to his, but can I find a picture online, no!

I love Polo Saloons, I'd think about rebuilding my car into a saloon shell if anything nasty happened to it.

 @ krupa.

I think you will always own that car and just change the engine or the shape when you feel like.

Like that advert for the pug and the guy shapes and old banger to look like it. I can see you making your polo into a golf gti one day :P

Now there's a thought!

Nah, I can't picture selling it either lol! But it'd be nice to own a Golf GTi/Audi RS6 as well.

Red indicator lenses would look cool, nice contrast to your car's colour metz. 8)

There were 3 different types of cloth for the seats, and even a 4th sports cloth but never seen that.
The (CL) sports cloth is the one my ranger has got in it:

Its made out of different material to what the light grey and black gt interior is made out of, feels like carpet! :D How cool would it be if you found a saloon with this interior in? :D 8)

hi gareth,

I have never seen that interior before, except in the showroom brochure! (pictures of seats saved to my pictures  ) Looks very smart.
I think a rank that my second favourite standard mk2/3 interior - 1st being the early black gt seats. Bet they are rarer than g40 seats! 8) any chance of a pic of the rear bench one day? :D
