That's because it's based on the same chassis, and probably designed by the same people.
We all know that much.

The Micra is what, 2 years old? Could they come up with something new, or something more like a Renault?

I'd have some of that!

I am impressed with the Micra's chassis, as I drive them day in day out. I can't wait to see some high powered models in the Clio!

Nissan are bringing out a model call the SR (Street Racer) with a 1.6 105bhp engine. It's apparently quicker than the Fiesta Zetec S, Mini One and C2 VTR due to having low weight.

the only two people i know with the original bubble micras are my aunt, and a guy working at the bar who calls it tinky-winky in honour of it's purpleness

According to my mate, there is a Micra site much like this one. Some of the owners with K11s (the first of the bubble shape, K-03 reg) have stuck in big engines such as SR20 varients (as seen in Almeras, Primeras, 200SXs, etc) and throttle bodied 1.6s and 1.8s.

Now I'd like a go in one of them, as I don't think the K11 handles that badly (I drive many of them at work, and I don't mind them!)

I was gonna say, Renault and Nissan are in cahoots these days.

That's one ugly car, but then I said that about the current Clio.

I always liked the Mk1 Clio (especially the 16v and Williams models). So, when the the bubbly round '98 model came out I loathed it until the V6 broke cover (evil car!). Then when they facelifted it I hated that too until the Cup and V6 versions came out, and now I actually prefer the facelifted new style Clio to the pre-facelift bubble ones.

Has anyone seen this week's Auto Express though?

The V6 lives on... and it's not too bad either.

micras with 1.8s???

that must be sh*t-hot... but either they're keeping them out of the midlands or playing the sleeper card very heavily!
