well i doubt u will get 205's on the front without arch rolling/modding etc, my 195's rub on full lock sometimes so im guessing 205's will DEF rub. Its lowered 40 mm via shocks and springs, but there NOT coilies.

It dos rub sometimes if u go down a hefty pot-hole at speed, but overall its not too bad.

I just like the look of the big wheels, u can really notice their size compared to say 16"'s.

Cal
size matters  8) lol...too rite

my mate is planning to get 215/35/17, which is the smallest tyre size just now (i think) which reduces the chance/ reduce running

Cal: DJ Pied Piper & the Master of Ceremonies  it was a good tune for all of 2 minutes before bugging the hell out of everyone in the country :)

IMO, 16"s or 17"s: 17"s look like a bit of work to go on and you can't lower quite so much, so for me, if I had to choose between them, I'd have 16"s on 195/40/16 rubber. The only downside is that its a rare size of rubber so theres only about 3 or 4 tyres available. I believe the gentleman's choice is Pirelli P-Zero?

Personally I'm very happy with my 15"s, and with the planned coilies and refurb it should look 8)

Cheers

yup 17's restrict the lowering quite alot, and too look slammed it would need some chunky sideskirts to go with.

I love the look of my wheels but i think if i bought a GTi next id go for 15's with a -50mm drop. If i got a GTi id be doing it for performance and so wouldnt want to restrict it with larger wheels. For now its all about style and i think that 17's look the s**t. You might disagree but I love them.

What you think?
