Working in London, crazy had the radio on as the story unfolded. However I was pleasantly surprised the fatality figures were so low.
I had a couple mates in the tubes held back in a tunnel at 8.30 for 30 mins at a safe distance from the explosion. She heard the bang, and felt the shockwave. The emergency services knew for a while what was going on. Did their jobs very proffesionally and managed to keep fatalitites to a minimum.
Mobile phone networks were shut down, following the methods used by the terrorists in spain. Using mobiles as the detonators from a safe distance.
Traffic frenzy started instantlyeveryone wanted to leave - I don't blame them, however at six I've never seen London so empty traffic wise, not even on a sunday or at even 2am - weird london was a ghost town. Had to pick up some mates who arrived by tube but had no way to get home.
Crazy, crazy sh*t!!!!
After 9/11 I knew London would be hit, it was only a matter of where and when? We'll see when it's italy's turn?
