It fools the ECU into thinking the engine is cold.
So adds more fuel even though the engine is up to running temp.
Why is this bad?

Unlike a remap, this just adds more fuel, but doesnt alter the ingitions timeing to match.
Worst case senario?

Dont know enough about diesal engines to comment though.
I know someone who is useing one on a 1.4TDi Lupo, and has had no problems.
But he hasnt got anywhere near the 30hp the advertise.
He thinks he may have an extra 10hp at the most.

if people were to get a remap, what options are out there apart from Revo? Arent there problems with Revo being agressive with their tuning, which would impact on other aspects of the car? Its a 45% increase in power with Revo.

Revo over exaguate with there 1.4TDi tuneing.
One of our members had there remap at a rolling road day we had.
Was something like 10hp they ot out of it.

Shes now gone for a AMD map, slightly more expencive, but better results accross the bourd.
