I think the new 1.4 TSI engine would no doubt be smarter choice for polo (lighter weight for example). Anyway there will also be 140bhp version and that is more likely to get in polo than the 170bhp model which will be fitted in the new Golf GT .. meanwhile 1.8T is still tried and tested techonology and can already be found in ibiza which has the same base structure so I think it's also still a very possible option..
