Do the green ARB bushes really make that much difference?

In a word, yes. They're well worth having.
The front end seems to pull itself around corners better on mine. I wouldn't have said they solve the dicey handling on a Polo but they do a lot of good!

Why do people always compair Saxo's to fast cars?

I'll bear that in mind if I ever decide to do something about the handling on mine. It is a bit of a laugh on the standard setup though, I enjoy the addrenaline rush around fast corners

Yolmol was thrashed by one yesterday
He didn't start to race the chav until it was onto the dual carriage way, his driving skill out maneuvered the saxo around the corners but the chav and his saxo caught us up on the straight.
He said "w*nk*r" as he went past with what we thought he said "16v power", it was badged as a VTR but could have been a VTS at the time.
We went to Toys R Us then halfords to find guess who

Damn he was a small pecker, he saw us and jogged back to his car, before he could turn it on he had the 6.5 foot Yolmol peering through his window asking, what is this? a VTR or VTS?
The guy was shatting himself, 2 guys far bigger than him that he had just called w*nk*rs standing around him. He said it was his mothers and was a totally standard VTR whilst sinking into the seat.
Turns out that Yolmol's car had a spark plug loose, we were up there getting new HT leads, hence the loss and a poor 0-60 run of 8.7.

Quinny was talking about a GT, not a G40!

ROFL a G40 would murder a VTR/VTS... My Gti eats them for breakfast.

What are you timing that on? Not meaning to be argumentative but 8.7 seconds would be a very good run for anything but a very highly tuned GT. I know Yolmol's car's a good example but I didn't think it was that modified that it'd do 0-60 runs that quickly.

GT's are better at standing starts off the lights.
Yolmols Gt will match a standard G40 upto 60 mph from a stand still.
He sticks with JoeG40 to 40 - 50 mph if I remember correctly he easily beat Jason when his was standard to 55mph. It was only at around the 60 mark that Jason was able to pull away.
Jason's G40 is 146 bhp (rolling road) and Yolmols GT still keeps up with that to about 45 - 50 mph.
