looks proper ... for some reason the new shape looks really good in black, shined up
going to make it GTi looky likey, or more down an individual route?
bet even with "just" (ha!) 1600cc, the FSi will help you beat a lot of chancers out of the gate. shouldnt be too thirsty neither.

Thanks for all the comments guys- much appreciated.
Absolutely loving it- yeah the 1.6 FSI is a very good engine, albeit not overwhelmingly powerful. Off the mark it's got a lot of pull, feels great to drive anyway, and a lot more stable at higher speeds than my Polo was.
Nah i'm not gonna make it look GTi-ish, although it looks fantastic, I'm going down my own route, using the lines of the Votex kit, going for stealth- all black with touches of bright, polished silver- (hint- rims).

Nice one, I really like the votex kit.
What are your plans for the sound system? (I have a dension ice-link going cheap!)

Ooooooooooo. How cheap?
I am currently completely 50/50 on whether I should get an MFD2 or a Pioneer X1 sat nav, but you might just sway me here...

I wanted £60 for it. It's the same kit here:
http://www.essentialipod.co.uk/product. ... 724091623f
They usually go for £90 on ebay.
Fits Ipod 3/4G & Photo. (Not mini) and plugs into the RCD300/500/MFD2
I ended up with 2 kits so this one is going spare. It has been fitted but only had minimal use (about a week)
Let me know if your interested. I'm in Sheffield tomorrow (a bit short notice) and Will be at Santapod next Sunday. Takes around 30 mins to install (15 mins if you've done it a few times).
