i just hope petrol goes down a few pence, so i can laugh at the people who filled up soooo much, wat was up with using containers, rationing for WW3???

they might've been floggin petrol (black market) haha to those who dont wana queue up £2 a litre.

That what they want you to think to stop the panic buying. If there were no panic buying I doubt there would be a problem even with a protest/blockage

I just hope the price doesnt go up anymore, I've got around 1000 miles to do this weekend and at least 500 next..

but it does justify me using 108ron race fuel for the next santapod run it's *only* twice the price of 95ron £50 fills half a tank. Just need to find some locally. Although I'll stay away from the 117ron stuff for now £220 to filla tank!

I hate panic buyers!

I mean you moan that the fuel is too much yet you will fill your car up to the brim, take 10 jerry cans to fill up and then drink some for good measure. Therefore adding more money through tax to the governments pocket.

Buy like you normally would and there wont be any shortages!!!!!!!

Indeed, seeing as two supermarket chains are lowering their fuel prices by upto 4p a litre, heard on the news just. And as wholesale oil prices are falling you expect other petrol stations to follow suit and match supermarket prices.

I stopped at a shell garage on the way home from taking my bro to the airport this morn. Optimax only on sale, so i filled her up. As I only use optimax anyway it was no myther. Paid the same price as I did last friday.

thats still expensive though when you think about it, at least its a step forwards or backwards whichever way u look at it.

i bet its not going to shift one bit at my local tescos, which has kept a lid on the price at a (comparitively) hilarious 90.9p all the way through this fiasco

which is probably why there were enormous queues from it all last weekend etc, but AFAIK their massive underground tanks, and policy of only opening half the pumps, meant that they didn't run dry.

i did do a bit of "panic buying" there (which for me means filling up before the needles in the red, and filling an extra 5 litre can), but thanks to their stoicism it didn't cost any more to do than it would have a month ago

and maybe, just maybe, next time some bright spark thinks of having a fuel protest, they'll be clever enough to hold it AT THE WEEKEND.
