Fog Lights and the Pigs

i see lots of ppl with fog lights on, doesnt bother me though,

i dont see what so annoying about them, as mentioned before the fog light area is the area between the car and the dipped area and as its pointing that far down, i dont think it makes a difference!

yeah and the thing tat i dont like is dodgily aligned headlights, u know a stoopid DIY job tat has resulted in 1 headlight tat shines straight in your eyes and the other just normal?

Front's don't bother me although like Phil, I've never actually used them, I've turned them on, on the drive to see what they look like but other than that. What really get's my back up is following people that have their rear fogs on, I flashed one guy who had them on and he turned them off, (I went in the lane next to him because I was turning left) when he came back past he had them on again, still he was a Taxi driver! He knew why I flashed him thoughas he turned them off, so it's not like he had them on because he caught the button.

1. They still glare, even if only in the peripheral, not handy when you've got a visor on.
2. They also appear bright when you're in a vehicle with a higher driving position, such as a big van.

i think it's one of those context / discretionary things ... depends on how badly you pee them off probably

not glaring/dazzling, seem to have made honest mistake of forgetting to switch off after having valid reason to use them, and are straight with the copper = lets you off with a warning

misaligned and dazzling, no decent reason for having them on, muck them about or seem shifty = fine

i'm careful nowadays, after getting pulled for having them on when not needed... luckily they were well adjusted, i played the line with the law (not realising it was an offense at the time, in fact), took their breath test etc, showed them the road i'd just turned off (narrow unlit country lane) and how crap the main headlights were (dire)... sent on my way with a nag to be more mindful of them in future

I'll also admit if someone has got their fogs on behind me or full beam i'll flash my rear fog which in the 9N means you have to have the front on too so the person in front thinks your flashing him lol

I also flash my front fogs at people with them on in day night to show them that they can blind you when driving.

I also flash my full beam at people who have the s**t reaction time when it comes to turning full beam off down the country road i drive to and from work too. My quick flash usually speeds there reaction time up - nothing worse than a narrow country lane and being blinded at the same time.

I use my fogs when its not foggy

i have them Wired to the Main beams, an with good bulbs in they light the road from a low angle,

which shows all the big bumps an potholes which when you are Hussing down a country road at night, is helpful

but, obviously, they are only on with the fullbeam, which i dont have on when other people are about.... unless they have just pulled out into the fast lane at 70mph into my path, where they get a nicve handful of horn and full beam

i fancy getting some of those pickup truck spotlamps for situations like that... can be little doubt somethings amiss when youve got 250 watts suddenly flashing at you

You oughta see it when I've got the offroad lights on the truck.

Low beams = 2*40W
High beams = 2*45W
Driving lights = 2*45W
Top bar (off road lights) = 4 * 45W

That's about 440W, before I add the beacons

i must say i use mine if its been raining lots, bacause the road that i travel to work on floods sometimes, and i find it helps to see the puddles before you soak your car with muddy water, but yeah never use them on open roads at all
