They've also changed the badging over here

The old 100PS used to get a TDI badge
The old 130PS used to get a TDI badge

The new 100PS now gets a TDI badge and the 130PS version gets a TDI and the GTI will get a GT badge...hopefully we'll have our first stock arriving in showrooms by Feb latest

Cheers! I've not done anything about the badge as yet but I think you might be right about the all red TDI :D

Yup - go for the all red TDI - I think it only ever appeared stock on the 150hp Bora, afaik. It's certainly a subtle clue as to what the car really is...

My car is way too subtle anyway..... but I like it that way 8)

Who needs a badge, no use to show off, keeping it a mystery is more fun :) I had doubted for the 130HP myself when I bought my 9N3 1.9 TDI but the price difference was way too high.. and chipping mine will make it as fast or faster for a way more better price/quality :p

The biggest positive difference between our two engines is the 6th gear though.. very good for consumption on highways, and I do a lot of highways so sometimes I wish I had the 6th gear :(


Nice car btw :) And yes the alloys are nice but too bad 90% of the people who buy the 9n3 choose for these ones if they go for aluminium alloys.. Don't know if you see them a lot in UK though - I live in Belgium.


Anyway congratulations with the new car, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it :)

Let me know how fast you are from 0 to 100km/h btw.. (0 to 62mph), to see the difference with mine (TDI 100 PD). I do it in 9.2 seconds.
