I was gonna get the 20" version but it was a bit too big for my drawers, I can now watch my 3 series of American Chopper :D sadly I don't have the Discovery channel so I never get to watch it.

Yeah, you can get them all over the place. I ended up getting mine from a local model shop, as I know the guys there, but check out eBay.

The one I have is the Hyper 7, which is meant to be one of the best buggies around (well, the pro version of it is.)

It's a 1:8th scale, so it a big bugger, and extremely fast. I'm touching 65mph, stock.

Extremely good fun to drive!

She asked me if I wanted it but just said no and that was that, usually they go on about it, but she was pretty cool.

hm......

got myself a shiny new all-in-one printer........ hardly a treat though, as both the old printer and the old scanner simply packed up after several years heavy duty use (one had even been rescued from an office that went to the receivers)

various CDs recently :) far more use to me than DVDs really. musicmusicmusicmusic.......

CD walkman from argos. That's gone back. As it was the third one i had from them, and it turned out crap as well. Will have to just turn the stuff into VBR MP3s for now.

Gone to a friends party, as documented in the silent movie ;) Which wasnt good for the wallet

More concretely, for dinner last night (and tonight as there was leftovers :D) I splashed out at tescos... twenty quid, minus a 20-pack of bud, lemsips and benylin got me a pack of turkey breast, shiitake mushrooms and some runner beans (your mind works in mysterious ways when you're under the lurgy) to go with the half jar of satay sauce and a few other veggy bits that were around at home

It was bloody gorgeous, i'm doing that again. Never had shiitakes before (well, except for a the odd touch of food poisoning, boom boom) and they were something else.... the turkey went just right with the sauce ... and the beans did some odd magic as they were cooked, interacting fantastically with the rest of the ingredients. Spot on. Now that, with a couple beers and a Q.I. marathon on the cable channels, is what i call a treat.

Future......... i will have to tie my hands up to stop me buying a Nintendo DS. The PSP just isn't doing it for me, for some reason (sony antipathy for one thing, and the abhorrent UMD movie BS ... do you even get any extra features on those £15 slabs of pointlessness, low picture/sound quality and overwrought copyright control?) - but a quick flick thru the current lineup of games arrayed beneath the significantly cheaper white nintendo beast, and i got a glimmer of a much younger self browsing the Game Gear rack in Beatties, trying to add up how many years pocket money it would take to buy all the really cool looking games I liked the look of. Except I could probably afford to buy all the good ones there comfortably with the disposable cash from a months paycheque. And there were a LOT of good looking ones - arguably more real gems than in that old GG selection. I'll have Sonic Dash, Mario Kart and one of the Nintendogs as my starter for ten, please, bob, and i'll just munch my way through the rest of the shelf from there.

despite the bad feelings toward sony, i still cant escape the fact that they probably make the best quality and best value mini hifi systems in the sort of style and price range i'm looking for to replace my old amstrad, which seriously can't go on for ever.. and is really just a tuner-amp for the PC these days, as both the tape and CD decks are far from reliable. A sony one of similar spec (but with the autoreverse tape, 2x speed CD sync, remote control etc) and actual lower cost than the original would be schweeeeeeet
