It entirely depends on cost, but a new-generation Polo GTI is on the cards for June/July
If it turns out to be too expensive, or it doesn't have the option of speccing HID headlights (I want them!), I'll keep my current GTI until I need to upgrade to something bigger!

I think im just going to get my polo back to show room condition, not worried about a upgrade yet seeing as there is nothing out there.
Next on the list:
Full Leather interior.
Front bumper resprayed to remove stone chips.
Rear lock removed.
Then it will be like new. No other marks or wear on the car

How about smoothing the bumper as well Phil?
We're talking in a few years anyway, I'm happy to keep the GTi for 2/3 years as well, I love it.

Don't matter what others think, they're just clueless

I don't regret getting mine done at all, transforms the front of the car I think - VW should have made it like that.

Depends where you go, others that posted about it when I asked were quoted somewhere near that for both, I just wanted to use that bodyshop as I know they are good and there isn't really any near Bedford.

I wouldnt smooth the bumpers, I tried to keep mine as close to showroom condition and factory spec, as possible. I think its a shame when you see cars that are modded to much! thats not a dig at you modifiedmadness, each to their own.

I think that the smoothed bumper doesn't really look too modded, it looks factory. I can't see why VW didn't make it like that, removing the rubstrips is as far as I'll go well and audio, apart from that, that's it.
