does any1 know what VW has stated for the top speed of a mk5 16v 100bhp, ive had mine showing over 125mph with a friend clocking the same in a seat leon driving behind me?

Not that much, I know that. The quoted speed for the GTi is either 126mph or 127mph.

I had about 110 out of my 1.4 8V before my short ratio gearbox but that wasnt on the limiter.. just doesnt have the go to get it higher

Only does just about 100 now but get there MUCH quicker

got around 120 today racing an A3 and a 106, we toasted the 106 but the A3 kept going so i backed off cos i started worrying about getting busted lol

only took my 1.4 8v match to just over 100,not much left in it either measured by road angel and speedo

well, the quoted top speed is 117

and they will quite happily bounce the rev limiter in 5th gear at the speedo reading of 128mph

well in my 1.4 pd tdi
on stardard 14's i got 120mph wit revs spare
and on 15's i get 115mph wit revs spare
