vw mechanics are like monkey's with a tool wrench though.
From experience always check the work after they have done it.
More often than not my car has had to go back in the next day because of an F up.
Most recently i had my left side resprayed and they wrapped the rest of the car in some sort of shrink wrap.....unfortunately some was left on and it was stuck all over the front bumper (didn't see it until i got home when it was parked in the sun)
all polished now and fine thanks to them buffering it out the next day!
just be persistant and you will be all fixed in no time!

ok well after 3 diagnostics and no luck we took it to TSR
they insist it needs a new throttle body
it then cut out on me for the 3rd time so i had a strop and took it to VW as they told me it was the key - but new key no difference
now the diagnosis has an immobiliser fault and a valave timing fault!
so back to the garage she goes!
