where did u get the breather filter and how much does it cost?

It was a Pipercross crankcase breather filter that Prash had already bought. It came from Demon Tweeks and will set you back around £20. Its one of these two items:
filter 1 or
filter 2. There was also an aluminium connector that connects the filter to the breather pipe, can't remember if Prash said it came with the Pipercross or if he had bought it seperately!

my dad was saying on his bike he made a stainless steel oil catch tank in place of a filter and could do the same for my car...would this be a legal alternative?

No need to bother with that really, breather filters ARE illegal but youd be very unlucky to get caught by a copper that even knows what one is, And if it's tucked away out of sight no one will even see it.
I bet youd probably even pass MOT's with one on (although it would depend obviously), Alot of mechanics wouldnt have a clue that it's illegal.
The only people youve really gotta worry about is Insurance assesors, if you have an accident you need to put your car back to standard (if you dont tell them about mods, then they wont pay you a penny)
And if you do tell them about mods, then most companies will either charge you a fortune for insurance, or refuse to insure you at all.

My BMC cost me £22.50 from date of fitment for the duration of my policy (which expires at the end of this month). £11.75 of that was the admin costs for amending the policy!!
