Stick with the polo for the forseable future, as I'll soon be getting a mortgage, and im not yet getting bored of the GTi.
Maybe in another coule of years look at getting a Ibeza FR 160 tdi.
Or if I win the lottery at any point an RS4 Estate

Some high expectations on here !
I haven't had my Gti for long, and expect to keep it for a few years.
To be honest I would have liked a Furby VRS, but I could not afford the initial outlay. The Gti is our second car, and I needed a car that fits in our garage, so was limited on choice once I had defined my want list.
It depends what is around in 4 or so years time, and what my circumstances are. But being an oldy at 31, with a house and 2 children as well, I don't have huge goals, as long as it has some character, is reasonably fun to drive and has some modding potential. Hopefully the new Polo Gti Cup could well be within reach by then - only time will tell !

Eventually a 911 turbo

, but if we are talking realistic it's going to have to be something diesel i am afraid - not that i get poor consumption with my polo Gti - it's just that with a diesel i think you tend to get economy as well as half decent pace, more because of the torque than anything else - possibly the latest edition audi a3 with the s-line kit? or even an audi a4 again with the s-line kit - both are easily chippable to add an extra 40bhp (ish) when re-mapped.
