cant get a pic as its raining and my camera wont take the picture, grrrr think it knows best!!!
anyway its in the same case as yours, but the top is different, you have two dots, mine is just a flat yellow top.

hmm they won't melt but they haven't sent you the same ones as are listed.

The top of my bulb looks like the top of that one, just in the metal case.

hmmm just checked out the site and the spec of that one is the same as the other one just with different casing.
so it should be the same brightness as the one with the two dots, remember that these are sidelights and not headlights....maybe you're expecting too much from them, they should be a bit brighter than the original ones but the main plus is that they don't look so yellow next to the xenons

you are possibly right, lol, i just expected something slightly more brighter.
It bugs me having the bright lights on the outside then yellow lights next to them, hence why i got these.
It looks ok, will be sticking with them,

I've got an MOT soon and both bulbs were out - changed them this afternoon. Took me about three hours (some beer involved) but I got there in the end.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for writing this guide, I reckon it would have taken a skilled mechanic at least an hour to do.
I managed to wreck my shi**y halfords T20 key, and dropped a couple of screws down into the plastic drip tray under the gear box, but hopefully saved some cash overall.

I changed my sidelights in like 10 mins on my 6n2 gti lol, right angled tiny snap on screwdriver! Got the tools to make it easy to access, Indicators out and its easy! Bumper of is a LONG way to do it but a good guide none the less!

Yep, everyones quite aware now. This guide is quite old, a new one has since been created. Also very old!
