Quick update...

Filled all the holes left due to removal of exterior bits and bobs, resprayed matt black, chopped gear-stick, new gear-knob, lowered 80mm rear + 95mm front, polished rocker cover, polished oil filler cap, braided hoses, fuel electrolyser, K+N bolt-on, mk2 Golf 16v front seats, rear seats removed.

Thanx for the positive comments, its getting there! Wheels will be back on after the winter, then I've only got a few other bits left to do.

Think its fair to say, that is one seriously pimped out Mk1 polo! :D
just got one myself, equally as mint, in yellow. was thinking a set of 13" bbs rims at first, but seen the light and think supalights are the way forward..

thing is, i used to have a mk1 a few years ago, running 14" bbs' (which spent most of the time scraping the arches!), but having the wider wheels made the steering proper rank, obviously heavy - which is par for the course, but as though it was weighted to either side, so the more u turned the wheel, the more it wanted to stay there..!

how do u find the steering on yours, with 7 inchers?? have u made any modifications to the steering rack, etc?

Havent done any mods to the steering at all, it's reasonably heavy, but it's not that bad!
