It's truely a shame about Tipp-ex teeth, I for one hope he makes a good recovery, and hope he comes back to the show.
It's a shame that the media are using the incident to question "Top Gear's" influence, and debating whether the BBC should stop making it. If they do, millions of viewers will be, without doubt, extremely peed off.
An infuriating article, from your favourite right-wing tabloid, the daily mail:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1770
Articles like these are quite upsetting, to say the least. Especially when he's lying in hospital, vindictive, evil people like these are coming out of the wings, and are ready to say "I told you so!". Articles like these could only have come out of the daily mail.
Get well soon, Richard!

It was a bit inevitable given that he seems to have no sense of his own mortality (re: sitting in a car being zapped by 947 squillion volts, everything that's ever happened on brainiac, etc) but still shocking. Hope he pulls through as the man is an absolute legend.
Think they need to drop the nickname as it may be a bit of a jinx... hamsters typically don't live long...

Call him.... ahhh! GUINEA PIG! That's a name that'll protect you and it fits perfectly. OK, not with the surname, but hey.
Hope he does pull through and is able to celebrate the success of the early runs! (And will be around for many more jet powered attempts - in the form of brainiac wheelchairs retrofitted with CO2 fire extinguishers - to come)
All I can say is.. my first look at the Vampire and the report of his head digging into the ground was "that's a bloody dangerous design"... but it must have had a lot of cleverness in it to keep a guy in an open cockpit alive after wiping out at 280+

He's on the long road to recovery, Clarkson says he managed to walk a short distance and his wife Mindy says he has smiled and talked a bit too
clicky
Good stuff, keep going Hamster!
