yeah i sold mine thru here last year, now on a sweet GTi with 1.8t conversion running porsche brakes and stripped out!

they dont actually save much weight tho, maybe a kilo difference between the 2!

Icey was your bonnet pure carbon fibre?

From my understanding I have heard that most CF bonnets on ebay are so cheap because the CF is over-layed on top of an existing fibre-glass bonnet.

Thus being the reason why it probably didn't save you much weight.

However a pure carbon fibre bonnet has to have a mould made up for it. This is why i'm asking whether or not it was pure CF. As i've been told that a pure CF bonnet will set you back at least £1500.

Just wanted to find know as i thought it seemed a bit cheap for a CF bonnet. Let me know if i'm wrong. Thanks! :D
