i agree they can make them, the car i had was a fabia,(volkswagen mechanics), it did 130,000 and is still going strong...but saying that your fathers bora did a 170,000, makes you wonder even more, as to why the mkV polos are struggling to get beyond 80,000 without a change of gearbox...some on this site have gone through two!!...thats insane!!!...thanks again for the responses!!.

It's just a poor design that lets the whole car down. But its such a good car that it still doesn't put people off as it's in high demand

yeap your right there, it didnt stop me from buying it, but i guess i used my heart rather than my brain!!!...does anyone know any decent vw specialist in the birmingham area? thanks
