Cheers mate
and another thing, where have you located the other end of the cold air feed?

errr i don't quite follow,
but basically, as far as the cold air feed is concerned, i left the stock one there, connected to the trumpet, and pointed it at the filter!
i have plans to use the extension hose off the hoover to create another cold-air feed, just for fun.
but to summarise, the original feed is still in the same place, but it tied to some various other tubes near the filter, and left pointing at it.
thanks

M8, that sounds mint im def gunna get one. I take it you cant put the engine cover bk on then? Bit of a shame if ya cant.

err nahh, coz the engine cover has a built in air box, which attaches to the throttle body, but in place of this, the induction kit attaches to the throttle body, so thers no room for the engine cover.
still, makes it look a bit bigger under there
not so ashamed to pop the lid now

Im sure u can buy pannel filters or a direct replacement dat'll do the same job. Iv seen loads of golfs n Polos with engine covers on with K&N's under the bonnet. Can't you attatch a pipe or sumthing dat'l let u get the engine cover on?

i dont think so, because either one is attached or the other.
unless you can get a two way pipe, which allows you to put the filter somehwere else in the bay, and still allowing you to attach the cover? but i don't think thts possible?

but i don't really know
i think the ones that have the engine cover still on them, are not induction kit ones, just ones with replaced panel filters, coz all you do is a straight swap? i believe, but you dont get the same sound as the beast i got

I know its a bit early, but can you keep us posted about petrol consumption after this kit?
Im not too sure on the induction or just a drop in filter..

havent decided yet... yes a big noise is good, but i dont want MPG to go down

.. as im currently only getting ~280miles on a tank
