I would place a bet on it being tracking or balancing then, I haven't had mine balanced and I get feedback on motorways..not to the extent of the dash vibrating, getting mine done this week so I reckon it will do the trick

I only had balancing and tracking done last month, surely they can't be out already?

Shouldnt be, but maybe it wasn't done properly, I took mine to a garage to get balanced and tracked but he blatently hasn't done it. I had a long list of things for him to do and I reckon he just couldn't be bothered by that point.

Why don't you ask dee-vub if he had similar problems and how/if he managed to sort them?

I agree with James, only thing i can think of that would cause vibration would be the balancing of the wheel.

Don't give up on the wheels yet! once you lower it, the car will look fantastic!! and different...if you stick with RXII's although they are awesome it won't stand out as much

Yeh, I know it'll look wicked when its done, but they are causing so much hassle and expense! When I asked he said he didn't remember any vibrating. I watched both places do the balancing and the tracking so they definitely did it. might take it back to the place that did the tracking and ask if they would check the balancing.

The other ongoing problem is that the centre caps don't fit the wheels and they don't look that great off the car. In order to fit them, I think i'm looking at a refurb because sanding some of the paint around the housing still hasn't worked!

u've sanded down on the caps and the wheels??

I sanded a layer of paint from the edges of the caps and the housing in the centre of the wheel, not on the faces. The paint is too thick so they don't fit flush into the housing and the only times i've ever had them on with washers on the back, they have slipped round and i've had to pull over and take them off.

nightmare...that does sound irritating and a refurb just for that is a serious pain, if we do a bournemouth meet i wouldnt mind you showing me

Yeh, Dee-vub said they were fine on his with the washers behind the caps but they definitely don't fit properly like that and as soon as I get on the motorway they dislodge themselves which is quite dangerous.

Are you coming up for the GTI festival?

Will probably be coming along to the bournemouth meet, its the weekend after isn't it?
