They are a bright white - not a xenon blue. These bulbs are about 4300k in colour, where as xenon HIDs are 6000k upwards

I'd rather see further than look like a BMW

i totally agree

HIDs as an upgrade offer superior vision but theyare just so so expensive. The new bulbs i put in mine (powerbulbs powerblue) make an immense difference.
I fitted a spare set in our old VW Transporter the other day. You can actually see at night now

Did the FK's HID upgrade for the 9n actully improve the light, i thought someone had said it wasnt as good ?
P.S This thread should be renamed "everything you need to know about lights for the 9n"

I have 6000K HID's and could now not have them on any car i own. I drive a lot of company cars (mostly without HID's/Xenon's) and i hate driving at night without them.

I've got the 80% phillips and the blue LEDs.. I can definately say the phillips are crap!! Not worth the extra 15pounds than the 30% phillips!! Would not recomend them.. The blue LEDs are amazing around dusk, when its just getting dark, but they dont match the philips white light.. I think they only match the HID blue tint..

Yep, aftermarket kit with standard lenses
mjmills wrote:do you have those auto-leveller things, and headlamp washers dino?
Nope, they are not factory fitted so no need for them - there's no requirement on the MOT for them either.
