I think mines only down about 50mm?
I think if I go for 15mm on the rear then and leave the front, at least for the time being anyway.

I'd say 20mm on the back and 10/15mm spacers on the front would look really cool, add a bit of girth to your car
Oh yeah, I noticed that you now have the highest post count, you finally beat Tahrey

I just wanted a nice OEM looking drop, plus it's cost me enough as it is at this height after breaking the splitter
Might give that a go then Ollie.

I remembr someone on here running 10mm spacers all round and it looked spot on. It was on a black polo gti. Maybe you should go for 5/10mm spacers on the front and 10/15mm on the rear.
Personally i'd go for 5mm at the front and 10/15mm at the rear.

I'd say you'd easily be safe with 20mm at back 10mm at the front! Would look sweeeet!

http://www.performancealloys.com had a page with advice on what spacers to go for, doesn't appear to be working tho! goes somewhere along the lines of taking a piece of paper and aligning it vertically against the wheel with the top of the paper against the arch.. i've got 6.5 inch wide wheels with 195 tyres so i'm going for 15mm spacers at the rears only, thought this might help!

I'm always interested in other peoples opinions Rich, I may not always listen to them because at the end of the day so long as I'm happy with the car I don't care what anyone else thinks
In this case though, I am taking the advice and will have spacers on before Inters

gurrrr, my car don't come out of the body shop untill monday now so ill show you some pics then.
i think 5mm front and 15mm rear would be cool. aparently the rear axle is slightly smaller so by adding spacers it improves the handling.

how did this work out for you?
i'm now in a similar position. i have standard wheels & height and am unsure what width to go for.
would like to lower the car eventually...

Never go round to getting them in the end.
The car will be with me for years though, so plenty of time. When I do eventually get them, I might have to go for 10mm front and 15mm rear.
Andy, if you read this it turns out I'm down more like 60-70mm
