Yeah they'll all be out slightly, usually up to about 75 they are quite accurate maybe 2mph out.
But after 75 they aren't calibrated so well, could be up to 10mph out in some cases, as said if you've fitted bigger wheels it will appear to be going faster than it really is.

no speedo can be accurate as to differing tyre sizes and rubber amounts on the actual tyre due to wear

The GTI does 140, my speedo said so. Though it's actually 160 because of speedo error

In over a year of ownership I havent taken mine over 90.
The possibility of an instant ban for 100+ just doesn't appeal, I have too much to loose. Save it for a track.

I've only had mine up to 90 as I've been a bit bad in the past resulting in a lengthy ban, only semi-sensible speeds for me!

To be honest, anything above 90 on motorway is just asking for trouble. But it does get so tempting when the engine is just willing to go that bit more, especially as at 90 you're sitting just before the power band in 5th

Doing 130mph in a car means certain death if it goes wrong. And things can go wrong very quickly at those speeds, no matter how good a driver you think you are. I lost my brother only a few months ago to a road accident, he was only 23. It's all great fun until something like that happens and you hear about it and think, it'll never happen to me. But the reality is that road accidents are the biggest killer of under 30 year olds.
And whoever would consider doing 130 with passengers in the car shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a car. If you don't respect your own life, please, show some respect for others at least.
