The Halfords kit comes with braker cleaner, tin of paint and a tin of paint hardener. You need to use a small brush (doesn't come with kit) to apply the paint. I'm no artist but found it really simple applying two coats to all the calipers. As long as your careful and don't allow any drips to fall onto the pads etc it will be fine.
Other people have sprayed their calipers but to do this you would need to completely remove them as the slightest bit of paint in the wrong area could lead to braking issues......
To completely remove the calipers you would need to disconnect the brake hoses which involves a whole lot more work putting them back together (bleeding etc)

awseme so all i need is the halfords kit which will last two coats on each caliper? and i don't actually have to take em off? how much does it cost? sorry, just want to get it 100% right lol

The kit will give you easily 2 coats per caliper. I had loads left over and I didn't go lightly on the amount for each coat
It costs £25 which is a bit expensive but you get a can of brake cleaner in the pack which is pretty good. Buy a decent brush about a 1-2cm wide.
