to protect your headlamps from getting chipped etc, much like a car bra for the bumper and bonnet! its mostly for styling though, i think they add a real nice touch to the front of the car

well my headlamps casin on my 6n2 atm is scratched to f**k, would it cover them up?

umm... i suppose to a certain extent yes, but i meanits just clear plastic so you can see thru them, look at my sig pic!

i can't decide whether to keep these on my gti or taek them off.

whats everyone think?

i wanna take them off...but know that if i do a stone will probably pop up the next day and smash one of my xenons!

decisions decisions...

i love the look of them so i have them, altho they may come off when i get my new bumper!

If your worried bout your headlights smashing as soon as you take them off i wouldnt be so paranoid, when the GTi came out they were (presumably some kind of extra?), they didnt actually come on the car as a standard part, so the headlights are build to last without them.

Bottom line is its totally up to you!! If you hate the look of them, take em off, if your too worried bout your lights, keep em on!
A majority of members on here do not have them and i think a majority of them will say they've had no problems with smashing headlights

Have them on my non gti and I love them. Really gd mod and def worth it for the winter weather !!
