shantybeater wrote:si, looking sweet, you have the same rims as me, mine are RM 012's et33, what i don't understand is how others can go much lower? I assume I will be looking at the same drop as yours...maybe less as I have extended lips..so the fronts are 7" & the backs are 7.5"
Mine is as low as I can have it - would go lower but as a daily driver and with some of the speed humps that the Council are now installing here in and around the town centre, it would be very very impractical for me to drop the car any lower :?

Same with me Si, the roads just don't get looked after (and we have to pay £180 road tax  )

Plus after going over a ramp yesterday and hitting the undertray as the car bounced down, I really don't think it's practical to go lower.

Mega low is ok for a show car but it is very impractical. Mine is "so" slow that above 50 on bumpy back roads my lower strut brace hits the round and the wheels hit the arches!

The ride will be harsher but you definately will notice the improvement in handling

Bryony your ride height looks spot on! exactly the level i'm hoing to achieve, its weird tho how a few of the other cars posted say they've had 60/60 but they seem alot higher on the bak?!

Yeh, its odd how different kits seem to look different, I don't carry much around in the boot either so there shouldn't be anything weighing it down in that pic.

It was a bit lower than I was expecting it to be, but I love how it looks, wouldn't want to go any lower because of the practicality of it!

Right, according to the guy who fitted my coilies (that I said about 50mm to at the time  ) he reckons it's more like 60mm to 70mm that I'm down.

I am (actually was) running 6.5x15 & 7.5x15 RM's - I believe the front is around 70-80mm and the rears slightly higher, around 70mm

Never had any scrubbing issues but then my H&R coilovers are very hard!

Dont know how low i am, but i'd say another 5-10mm lower at the front now than in this pic.....the rears are due to come down more when i get the arches done.

I get serious scrubbing.....i can have myself and 2 passengers and its not bad, 2 in the back is my limit though and i wont drive for long like that. They have to be light people aswell

The fronts are pretty bad tho and my inner lining is barely holding on now due to rubbing away

As a result, what do you think about TA TECHNIX Coilovers?

yeah get them mate, very good for budget coilies...i went down around 100+ with a bit of scrubbing, needed the arch liner removed & rolled though really. make sure you keep them greased up though, the movable parts seize up quite easily
